What I've been up to:

Mostly playng with wool in various forms... but occasionally a load of laundry gets tossed in the wash.
I assume no one wants to see my laundry...so here are some of the crafty things I have been doing:
First a scarf made out of 2 skeins of the same multicolored yarn...staggered so the colors chase eachother:

Next I am working on a pair of socks for a 4yr old friend:
I also sewed up a teddy bear for a friend of mine:I have been spinning too...first a skein of purple yarn:
And a batch of multicolored roving that came out fun...I call this one "Carnival"

And here is a fun project I did with Jacob...I joined a contest to 'spin your scraps.' I gathered some wool bits:
I had Jacob help me tear them up:
Then I tossed them into a bag and let Jake pick out which bit to spin. The only editing I made to his choices were to not spin the same color twice in a row...here are the singles in progress:

and the plyed yarn on the wheel:
and the completed hank:
One of the first yarns I finished I think this will become socks:

And am I actually getting anything made with all of this yarn I am making you ask? Why yes I am. The very first yarn I made on my wheel and the very first yarn I Navajo plyed became a scarflett for my Grandmother:
On my spindles I am working on some:
wool:
silk:
and a merino/tencel (fine wool/silk-like wood fiber) blend:
And a parting cutiepie shot...no I did not make the hat but boy it's cute!

Still here

Yes I am alive...just busy, and honestly I have been knitting and spinning in my spare time. Just got back from visiting family in Las Vegas so I am still reeling trying to get our crap back together after the trip.
