Startitis? at least it's followed by Finishitis

For some reason I have been feeling the need to whip out quick easy projects. I think it's because I want to continue the 'high' I got from completing my last pair of socks...so first I made the socks for Abby then I made a headband for myself. Originally it was going to be a hat for me and I realized I didn't have even close to enough yarn for that. Then it was going to be a hat for Abby. Again, realized I didn't have enough yarn for that either. So it became a headband. I couldn't find a pattern that I liked so I eventually made up my own pattern and it came out pretty well even though they coloring of the yarn kinda makes it hard to see:
Then I decided that I was probably never going to finish this scarf:
So I grabbed the unused end of one of the balls of yarn and cast on for a fingerless mitt. I wanted to be sure I had enough yarn before I cut it because if it wasn't going to work I decided just to stick out the scarf. Well, it worked beautifully!
So now I am working on the second mitt from the other ball of yarn. When that is done I will still have both remnants of the yarn attatched to the scarf so I will be able to finish them up in the scarf and there will be zero waste yarn.

More yarn

I told ya'll that I had dyed some roving with the same pink and green kool-aid as the little sample I used in my sock and now I have the yarn finished up...here is what it looked like on the wheel and all done:

Think this will end up being socks for Abigail (I think I'll have enough, we'll see).
Oh and in order to have enough empty bobbins to do that yarn on I had to finally get off my butt and finish off the very very first yarn I did on my spinning wheel- some straight up white merino that was given to me by the lady that sold me the wheel in order to have something to show me how to use the wheel with. I used Black Cherry kool-aid for this one:
Oh Merino is so soft! Think I'll make a cabled hat with this yarn.

Nothing new really

I have been keeping up with the housework (if you know me, then you know this is no small feat). Oh and I was going to show off the yarn I dyed with kool-aid...
It was a ton of fun to do and came out better than I expected and it smells kinda fruity too.

Oh yea I made bread yesterday (I have decided that Monday's are for laundry and Tuesday's are for baking - we'll see how long I can keep it up). Today is Wednesday and I was planning on scrubbing the tub today...I think I'll find something to knit instead...cuz cleaning sounds really sorta lame right now.
Oh and here is a fairly recent (not quite a month ago) pic of me as I begin to enter the 'house' size stage of pregnancy (ok so I am at cottage right now...but soon I fear I will be much larger).
